Job Purpose: Â· Leads, plans, controls and directs the Control Engineering Team within Company NASR Field Division to provide necessary expertise, competency and technical authority for various pan Company and support its implementation. Principal Accountabilities: Â· Acts as the single point of contact/responsibility for all control/automation engineering issues. Arbitrate in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties. Â· Manages the production of engineering studies for the Assets and Shareholders and support investigation of operational or business development opportunities. Ensures seamless integration of constructability, operability and commercial aspects into a single product. Â· Supports and implements the use of Company Project Processes, including VAP, and in particular for production of Front End Engineering Design (FEED-Select Engineering) for the Assets and Shareholders. Â· Delivers Control technical support to other Divisions and the Company organization during the Define and Execute phases of work. Provides Discipline Engineering expertise for the development and authorize Key Documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for all Company project works covering Assets, Major Projects and Brownfield Projects to ensure consistency and efficiency. Â· Conducts Control discipline engineer recruitment interviews and selection approval for Pan Company and Project PMC teams. Ensures the availability of Conntrol discipline-engineering support for temporary offsite secondment in the event of expertise shortage. Â· Facilitates Pan Company Control engineering discipline Peer Reviews/Forums to exchange experience across Asset and Shareholder staffs and ensure consistent and harmonized application of Company standards, practices and specifications. Â· Establishes Performance Measures and an individual Personal Development Plan (PDP) against which the Control Engineering Team staff members are assessed. Supplies SME/SPE support for Company competency evaluation program including inter OPCO/ADNOC developments. Â· Identifies the training needs and work opportunities to close performance gaps and to further individuals in their PDP. Coaches, mentors and supports of subordinates and peers in the Control Engineering Team and other Company department staff. Ensures that National graduates under the CAMS scheme receive all necessary development support including competency assessors and verifiers. Â· Participates in the development and management of the Control Discipline Engineering Team schedule of product deliveries working with Asset, Departmental and Shareholders entities to set priority against available resources and budgets. Â· Identifies, qualifies and supervises individuals and contractors resources necessary to carry out work demands placed on the Control Engineering team in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. Â· Ensures Control team representation and expertise is available for necessary support of HSE driven studies and workshops. Covers HAZID/HAZOP/PHASER/SIL studies. Assures that appropriate processes and measure have been applied during assess and define ensure that local safety codes have been met and a high level of safety in design is considered in work produced by Control Engineering Team. Â· Provides technical custodianship (Development/review/Approval) of appropriate Companyâ€™s Control engineering standards, codes of practice and technical specifications to ensure that they are kept in-line with prevailing legislation, international standards, and new industry practices and reflect experience gained from actual use. Â· Develops the engineering team on a day-to-day basis, conducting annual individual performance reviews and regular development discussion meetings. Supports incident investigation, data gathering, root cause analysis, recommend and supervise implementation of corrective action.
