Electrical Supervisor – Client of Five Continents in Abu Dhabi
Supervises the operation and maintenance of all electrical power distribution and utilities (Scope â€¢ 56 Substations, as well to supervise the operation and maintenance of the Cathodic Protection System) Supervises the operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment associated with Company Oil and Gas production, Storex and Logistics 2. WORK PERFORMED To ensure adherence of his subordinates and contracted workforce to Companyâ€™s Health, Safety and Environmental System (HSEMS). – To ensure all personnel working under his authority comply with the prevailing operating and maintenance procedures while carrying out their maintenance activities. They should comply as well with Company and Best Industry Practices. – Ensures adherence to UAE/Local prevailing Laws and Regulations relating to electrical work. – Participates when required, in multi discipline teams to carry out Risk Assessments into activities requiring additional conditions for critical jobs/tasks as stipulated in Risk Management. – Attends and if requires conducts safety meetings. – Conducts regular â€œTool Box Talksâ€ with his workforce regarding routine (overhauls etc). and non routine jobs. – Carries out self inspection audits, STOP audits and BSA in his areas on regular basis. – Update the HSE log Books. – Carry regular group safety meetings Directs and supervises operation and maintenance of the distribution system, electrical equipment in oil production areas approves Work Orders and passes them to Foreman for execution. Decides upon priorities and checks completed works as acceptable. Performs supervisory functions normal at this level, as established by Management. Supervises the electrical maintenance of the Utilities Plants as well as the electrical system of the Loading Pumps. Carries all signed tasks, jobs in the planned shut down & advice on the status reached. Participates in the troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of faults and breakdowns. Participates in the diagnosis and repairs of major faults and breakdown of underground cables, transformers, reactors, motors and switchgear up to 11,000 Volts. Carries out the preparation of planned maintenance programmes and ensures proper implementation of relevant parts for which he is responsible. Checks new Plants and installation on behalf of the company and participates in commissioning, liaises on construction work to minimize adverse effects on existing plant. Carries studies for assigned tasks. Establishes safe running arrangements on the power system, including liaison with ADGAS Electrical Supervisors, signs work and excavation permits and ensures compliance with Safety Regulations. Raises Stores Requisitions, initiates Purchase Requests, advises purchasing Abu Dhabi when there are problems relating to accepting alternatives/substitutes, proposes amendments to the material vocabulary and minimum stock levels. Assist in the training of his subordinates including UAE National ATI Graduates both theoretically and practically on site and in the electrical workshop. Assist in the training of his subordinates including UAE National CAMS Graduates both theoretically and practically on site and in the electrical Workshop. Isolates and makes safe electrical equipment up to 11,000 Volts. Issues and cancels electrical danger notices and electrical equipment on all types of electrical equipment. Issues or receives Sanction to Test Certificates when required. Supervises the installation and maintenance of Cathodic Protection system within the Process Area, Harbour, Sea Water Intake, Storage Tanks, Associated pipe work and Tanker Berths. Plans, directs and supervises through the Foreman, the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment associated with the Cathodic Protection. Check & update the critical spare parts list.
