Position: ENGINEER – CONTRACTS Role & Responsibility: This position will be responsible for administering EPC Contract and the subcontracts (Pre- Award and Post Award) within the frame of this project.The contract engineer/ administrator must have experience in engineering and EPC contracts.The contract engineer/ administrator is expected to administer the contract database of the project handle drafting letters to client, suppliers and third parties with minimal support and supervision.The contract engineer/ administrator is expected to provide contractual analysis on the project commercial issues and to advise the project management team with regard to contract commitments, modifications, amendments and revisions.Monitor, control and assist the implementation of the change order and delays management system.Coordinating with Site Team and other discipline in order to anticipate & identify any potential claims, delays and opportunities arising from the contract/ subcontracts.Timely delay, force majeure and claim notifications as per the Contract requirement.Review Project Schedule in order to monitor the progress and Critical Path activities, and perform schedule analysis to ascertain the delays to project schedule.Ensuring timely submission of contractual deliverables as per Main Contract requirements and also to ensure receipt of contractual deliverables from Subcontractors.Maintain contract administration files and database. Develops and integrates Construction Management tools, delay & variation order logs, templates, methods and processes.The Contract engineer/ administrator is expected to advise on the company’s exposure with respect to the execution of the project and in its relations with the subcontractors.The Contract engineer/ administrator is also expected to handle any insurance matter related to the project (notification of claim, management of the claim on site, provision of technical and contractual information, coordination with the legal and insurance departments of the company and the loss adjusters and the company insurance departments.The successful candidate will interface with the project management team as other departments (Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, Instrumentation, Project Controls, Construction, Procurement & Site Team) to manage the EPC contract in the best interest of the company. Desired Candidate’s Profile: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, knowledge in Business or Law desirable. Minimum 5 years experience in contract administration for overseas EPC projects in oil and gas process plants, power projects, petrochemical Projects. Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry practices, company policies, procedures.Proven track record of dealing with claims and legal stakeholders.Advantage to those who has experience of working in Middle East, PMC or Client side, with a multinational workforce.Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.Should have excellent Decision making and leadership Skills.
