English Language Program Coordinator/ Instructor – Al Raee Recruitment Services
Purpose of the Job
To ensure that the ELP operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities. To undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. The ELP Coordinator will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.
To be an excellent program coordinator, he/she must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams.
The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programs according to the KIC’s standards.
To perform support activities involved in operating the ELP by assisting the ELP staff members in a pleasant and efficient manner as per the established rules and procedures and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in conducting ELP placement tests.
Register student in appropriate ELP courses.
Communicate with external parties for verification of English Proficiency Certificates.
Teach and assess competencies in a range of English language related areas. ( Non-Credit courses )
Develop and share curriculum, teaching methods and resources.
Advise and assist students to develop their educational and career plans.
Perform a range of administrative duties associated with teaching, learning and assessment.
Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Ensure the principles of equal opportunity in learning are applied to all students, as appropriate in the UAE cultural context.
Complete requests by communicating patrons, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Prepare reports by collecting information.
Secure information by completing database backups.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Creating and maintaining filing systems.
Following office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
Maintaining files and records with effective filing systems.
Supporting other teams with various administrative tasks.
Scheduling and attending meetings, creating agendas and taking minutes .
Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and to maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;
Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment;
Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;
Maintain and regularly update the ELP notice board as required.
Any other duties reasonable to assist in the smooth function of the ELP as deemed appropriate by the management from time to time
