Head of Employee Relations – UAE National only (Nawah) – ENEC

To lead and manage all the Employee Relations section of the Human Resources Department including on boarding and public relations. To work closely with the HR Director to lead other functions as assigned, in order to support the establishment and development of Nawah Energy Company and meet its human resources and overall business objectives.

1. Employee Relations

• Review and approve and delegated transactions related to employee relations activities such as road vehicle loan, education assistance, certain types of leaves, health insurance card, life insurance ect..

• Act as an effective communicator between employees and concerned parties and resolve any issues arising within the section or with the employees

• Manage employees attendance and absenteeism and liaise with ICT and Physical Security team in the establishment of attendance system

• Handle grievances and disciplinary action for all employees particularly Head of section level and above

• Advice Employee Relation Specialist on how to carry out proper investigation of individual grievances or disciplinary action cases in liaison with Legal team and HR Policy team as required

• Conduct Exit Interviews for all employees at Head of section level and above

• Advice Employee Relations team on the proper approach of analyzing exit interview findings in order to raise report of findings to top management

• Drive and oversee all employee relations initiatives within the organization by creating awareness, understanding and buy in to the relevant initiative

• Design and manage all activities and processes related to the maintenance and update of employee data and records including compensation, benefits, leave administration, medical history, career development, termination as required so that all data is current and up to date

• Supervise, coordinate and control employee relations activities including identifying problem areas and assisting in resolving employee relations disputes by counseling employees and their supervisors

• Liaise with HR Corporate Project team in developing procedures related to employee relations, resolving condition reports related to employee relations and follow up on corrective actions from audits

2. On boarding

• Conduct 1st Day induction programs for Director-Executive Director and Chief Director Level in order to ensure a good initial introduction and understanding of relevant organization norms and processes

• Supervise, coordinate and control on boarding and international relocation activities

• Address any enquiries, concerns from new employees in relation to relocation issues

• Manage and resolve issues related to housing lease and liaise with landlords when required

3. Employee Satisfaction Survey

• Review questionnaires prepared for the Employee Satisfaction Survey

• Present the final report of findings to top management

4. Public Relations

• Direct the document processing for visas, control activities of assistants, follow up and resolve problems or difficulties as they arise, to ensure employees have the appropriate documentation and adherence to government regulations

• Address any enquiries, concerns from the staff or new employees in relation to the visa and immigration processes in order to provide a speedy and efficient resolution

5. Budget

• Prepare/recommend the development of the section/department budget respectively, and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment

6. People Management

• Manage the effective achievement of organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and department performance

• Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy
