In-Patient Pharmacist – NovaVita Specialised Paediatric Hospital in Abu Dhabi
The Pharmacist will provide specialist pharmacy services in a mainly NICU & Peadiatric setup, including clinical requirements, pharmacy-based medicine management, and training and education. The Pharmacist will undertake duties and responsibilities Pharmacist as defined by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) Scope of Practice and as outlined in the NovaVita Specialised Paediatric Hospital (NSPH) Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge: • The employee must have proficient knowledge in the following areas • Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods in response to innovations in pharmaceutical science and ongoing changes in the medical environment. • Experience and knowledge of JCI Accreditation • Clinical expertise in a focus area and evidence-based practice • Demonstrate the ability to meet essential job functions as a Pharmacist • Experience in performing quality control audits, monitoring and documenting problems as they relate to accuracy, and quality of care • Ability to develop and implement policy, procedures, SOP, courses and study programs • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical theory and best practice Skills: • Must demonstrate strong communication skills to function as a conduit for communication between the medical employee, nursing employee, infants, families and other departments • Must be a strong advocate and promoter of Infant and Family-Centered Care • Must possess excellent critical thinking skills to be able to recognise priority infant situations that need immediate attention • Excellent customer service skills and practice these on a consistent basis • Delegates responsibilities with a professional, objective approach • Demonstrates effective pharmaceutical practice • Demonstrates an empathetic and caring approach to infants and relatives • Able to prioritise own workload and that of others as appropriate • Able to work under own initiative within boundaries of role • Demonstrates awareness of importance of working as part of a team • Able to document observations, results, decisions and actions effectively in infant notes and communicate these to appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team Personal Attributes: • Treat others as you would like to be treated • Listen to and support others and make time to do so • Seek, acknowledge and value others’ experience and contribution • Acknowledge others’ beliefs • Be courteous and considerate to all • Treat others fairly and equally • Be honest and trustworthy and act with integrity • Encourage others to treat all staff with respect – Source from NaurikiGulf UAEApply for this job.
