Lead Electrical Engineer (Sulphur Terminal) – Client of Five Continents in Abu Dhabi
The key responsibilities of this position include: Â· Reports to the Operations Team Leader with interactions with the Electrical Engineers in the Central Engineering organization. Â· Meet regularly and maintain good working relationships with the Electrical Engineers in the EPC Contractor organization Â· Supports and works the Operability Assurance plan and program to achieve readiness for operations and proper project input. Â· Ensure HSE requirements met or exceeded Â· Deals Primarily with the following systems: Â· Steam Turbine Power Generation & auxiliaries Â· Diesel Emergency Generators Â· Substation Control and Monitoring System (SCMS) Â· Load Management and Load Shedding (LMLS) Â· Integrated Protection and Control System (IPCS) Â· Substation equipment, switchgear, and transformers Â· Power transmission and distribution systems Â· HV, MV, and LV cables Â· UPS systems including batteries Â· HV and LV motors including VSD systems Â· Lighting systems Â· Earthing systems Â· HVAC systems power Â· Various packaged equipment Â· Engineering / Construction Activities for the EPC contract Â· Site Surveys Â· Substations and IES equipment layouts and ergonomics Â· Electrical and instrument cables layouts and interfaces Â· Earthing layouts Â· Electrical load list Â· Power system study Â· Material requisitions and selection of electrical equipment / materials Â· Power allocation and architecture of distribution network Â· Architecture and integration of SCMS, LMLS, IPCS, and DCS Â· Power generation and subsystem interfaces Â· Project specifications for steam turbine generators, transformers, distribution systems, drives, etc. Â· Engineering Narratives Â· Scope of work Â· Single line diagrams Â· Equipment data sheets Â· Site survey reports Â· Input for technical queries / clarifications Â· Technical bid evaluation Â· Vendor selection Â· Hazardous area classification reviews Â· Involved in pre-commissioning and commissioning document review and approval Â· Participate in Mechanical Completion walk-downs, punch list preparations Â· SPIR reviews Â· Review and follow-up of hand-over documentation (e.g. Operations / Maintenance manuals, CMMS data, etc.) Â· Operability Assurance Activities during Engineering and Construction Â· Contributes to the development of the various electrical systems and processes required for start-up and operations Â· Works on follow-up actions from Electrical portion of the maintenance quality system Consults with Operations Team Leader and Sr. Electrical Engineers to maintain EPC package Electrical system development to the same standard as Electrical systems across all other EPC packages
