Manager Enterprise & Reference Systems – Huxley Banking & Financial Services
My Client is currently looking for Manager of Enterprise and Reference systems, directly reporting to Head of IT Applications for a bank within the UAE.
The role has the overall responsibility to manage, coordinate, provide and monitor, the day to day support of the mission critical Enterprise Support & Reference System business unit.
Area of responsibility includes:
Regulatory compliance systems (Anti Money Laundering, Sanction Screening, Credit Bureau, FATCA), Risk & Scoring systems (Credit Scoring, Basel II/III, liquidity Management, Market risk, Fund Transfer Pricing, Asset Liability Management and IFRS) as well as Enterprise/ Decision Support Systems (Data warehouse/MIS, ERP, Audit and legal)
– Manage, review, schedule and where necessary perform both technical and functional application systems support including software configurations both directly and through collaboration with team members and suppliers.- Manage, monitor and schedule team activities, as well; as investigate, track, and resolve incidents, and address requests within area of responsibility.- Manage, maintain and schedule activities for Patch and configuration management to help ensure the stability of application systems and services.- Contribute the necessary knowledge, suggest and help ensure practical solutions are documented and successfully implemented in-line with business requirements.- Liaise with CBUAE to document and support the implementation of regulatory mandates and requirements, for all services and systems within area of responsibility.- Manage, participate in and schedule remediation activities to support the ongoing requirements of the business.- Manage, participate and review the necessary activities to support the business in Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) practices.- Effectively manage and maintain a balanced business unit in terms of Financial, Strategic, Customer Care, Operational, as well as organisational wellbeing perspectives.- Team Management – Appraise, approve, manage, review and schedule team activities, including setting milestones, objectives and KPI’s to help ensure tasks successful completion.- Business Relationship Management – Develop, manage and maintain effective working relationships with wider IT teams and business stakeholders for efficient systems support- Continual Service Improvement – Manage, monitor and review services within area of responsibility, to reduce resolution time of incidents and requested change.- Service Support – Manage, review and schedule IT support activities that help to resolve incidents, queries and requests from various departments and business units.- Financial (Management) -Assist senior management in helping ensure the team proactively identifies and pursues opportunities to reduce costs in area of responsibility and help achieve tangible cost reduction in relation to the identified opportunities.
Knowledge of Reference systems – Basell ll/lll, liquidity Management, Market Risk, Asset liability Management, Fund Transfer Pricing, IFRS9, AML, Sanction Screening, Credit Scoring systems and Credit Bureau systems.
Knowledge of Enterprise and Decision Support Systems – finance, Procurement, HR, document Management Systems, Data warehouse systems and Business objects
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing IT Applications in Enterprise & Reference Systems
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Banking
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in computing or information systems or related adequate experience
Ideally GCC Experience
