Required Skills –> Basic Function and Scope: –> Purpose and Scope Carry out a variety of duties to maintain the efficient and safe operation of various terminal facilities to ensure receipt , storage and export of products are carried out in accordance with established quotas and specifications. This includes monitoring the receipt, storage, measurements and export of crude Oil/Pentane Plus/condensate and residue injection, offtake to Ruwais Refinery; starting/stopping loading operations locally and/or through control console; calculating cargoes loaded; monitoring and/or carry out Heavy Oil/Sludge/Water dips and gas tests when required; and preparing/checking related documentation. Read, record and transmit meteorological data. Participates in maintenance, project and shutdown activities by preparing equipment for isolation, shutdown and start up before and after work commencement and completion. Carry out and ensures all work is performed in accordance with established safety rules and regulations. Terminal oil and loading installations include 4 MOLâ€™s,16 crude oil storage tanks with a capacity of 8.7 million barrels gross, 3 oil gravity lines, 5 loading pumps driven by gas turbines, 4 banks of positive displacement meters, 2 prover loops, 4 auto samplers, 2 conventional buoy mooring and 2 Single Point Mooring berths. 25-45 tanks are loaded each month. Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators Fields Carries-out daily inspection of plant and equipment in oil/gas stations, tank and flare areas and/or water injection units to ensure normal operations, as applicable. Takes a variety of readings such as rates, levels and pressures, flow, line loads, running condition of surface pumps, Redas and enters in daily log book. Keep good reading records. Good feedback of defects / abnormalities. Daily log sheets completed. Product files/data updated. Checks for any malfunctions, such as line ruptures, valve breaks and blown gaskets, estimates degree of seriousness and takes action accordingly. Includes isolating and shutting down individual plant. Actions taken on time. Leak/damage records updated. Safe & proper isolation of leaks. Carries out minor running repairs where possible and details faults for subsequent preparation of Defect cards. In cases of serious malfunctions, ensures that safety procedures are followed. All faults/minor repair are logged properly. Defect cards register is maintained. Safety procedure followed. Maintains quality control checks. Takes samples for analyses for TSS, salt, H2S bottom sediment, water (BS&W), Hydrogen-Sulphide, and dew point tests, as applicable. Accurate readings/analysis. Sample request form completed. Chemical injection rates are calculated & maintained. Operates/Checks valves, lines and pumps/ compressors to meet operating requirements. Includes starting up and stabilizing degassing station, water injection units, main oil line pumps manifolds, flow/transfer lines, as appropriate. Proper operating procedures is used. Full equipment utilization. Daily reading sheet completed. All faults / malfunctions are logged & reported. Participates in all maintenance and inspection activities. Prepares equipment for required job and place back on line upon completion. Includes de pressurizing/pressurizing, purging, isolating and releasing/ receiving wellhead equipment, transfer lines, trunk line flow lines, etc. Safe Plant/Equipment isolation & preparation for S/D. Check-list completed. Participates in pre-commissioning/commissioning of new wells and facilities. Safe working at all times. Check-list completed. Checks and monitors gas levels at various areas in the plant during maintenance activities. Attends maintenance work to ensure safe operations consistent with related Permit/ Certificate.
