OPERATIONS REPRESENTATIVE – Client of Five Continents in Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose: Ensures that Assetâ€™s expectations of the Project with regards to Operations, Maintenance and Integrity Division are fully addressed / represented / covered throughout the project life cycle. Also to ensure that the Integrity of Existing equipment, facilities and people are well-prepared for a successful Operate Stage through development and implementation of a sound Operations Readiness and Assurance Plans. Principal Accountabilities Acts as a focal point to address all key issues between the Project Team and Asset Unit. Participates in the preparation & development of the Operations, Maintenance & Integrity (OMI) Philosophy for the Project and ensures that it is updated by the Project during the entire Project Cycle. Provides advice / recommendations based on operations experience in the areas of Process / Operations, Operability, maintainability of the facilities, layout and mechanical handling during design and construction. Provides Process Engineering support for review of the Project documentation from an Operations viewpoint and injects Operational experience into the Design. Reviews Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Heat and Material Balances(H&MB) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), to ensure that they are in line with the OMI Philosophy and other Company Standards. Reviews Design Philosophy Documents (Process Operating & Control Philosophy, ESD Philosophy, Blow down Philosophy, Isolation Philosophy, Vent & Drain Philosophy, Design Margin Philosophy etc,) and ensures that operational inputs are injected into the design. Ensures that relevant deliverables as issued by the Project Team are reviewed as appropriate and Assetâ€™s views / comments are deliberated and then collated prior to communication to Project Team. Participates in review of various safety studies (QRAs, HAZID, HAZOP, PHSER etc,.) throughout the Project Life Cycle. Ensures that Safety Related Studies are reviewed by Assetâ€™s HSE Advisor and comments issued to the Project Team. Ensures that the outcomes of these Safety Studies are implemented. Ensures that the Risk Assessments are conducted at the appropriate time and requisite personnel from site operations, HSE participate in these activities. Works closely with Operations, OGCD and Project Team on Project Schedules with regard to implementation of Tie-ins, Installation & Hook-up Plans to minimize losses. Ensures any changes in Project Schedules with regard to Tie-Ins Plans are communicated to Operations so that shutdown schedules can be revisited. Ensures a continuous technical, interface & project co-ordination between the Project Team, Various Departments within the Asset (Engg. Support Team, Site Operations, Integrity Advisor) etc. Co-ordinates the site visits to offshore by the Project Team during the Project Cycle. Ensures that procedures are in place for engineering & site works to be carried out by the EPC Contractor and Site Operations are adequately informed. Ensures (in-coordination with ID & MTD) that the Corrosion, Maintenance & Integrity requirements are fully adhered to, in order to establish long term integrity assurance for the Project. Provides Support to Project Operations Support Team specifically with regards to Process related discipline, Participation in other projects (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, PHSSERs etc). Provides support during the Pre-commissioning / Commissioning Phase with regard to interaction with the Site as well as Project Team. Also provides support during the Handover Phase and Warranty Period related to Punch list items or Operational Problems that require contacts with the Vendors and / or Project Teamâ€™s discipline Engineers. Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
