COMPANY INFORMATION Our client is a leading project management design and engineering consultant. This company is working on some of the MENA regions most notable projects, their experience ranges from major transportation projects, through power and energy to iconic buildings and facilities. As a result of further awards of prestigious work, our client is seeking a highly talented Package Manager – Rides & Attractions to join a highly technical and experienced team based in Abu Dhabi, working on the region’s most prestigious theme park project. JOB BACKGROUND The Package Manager has the primary responsibility of assisting in the delivery of Abu Dhabi’s first major theme park. This will be achieved through the successful management of contractor design production, installation and testing of amusement rides and attractions systems. In order to achieve this you will be expected to work with a team of subject experts from various disciplines whilst coordinating with stakeholders from within and outside of the business. It is vital that the Package Manager has an excellent understanding of HSQE requirements ensuring that the engineering objectives of the project is fully met to best international standards and practices. In this position you will be expected to continually look to enhance productivity through improved processes, procedures and systems obtained by frequent review of performance, working closely with the commercial and contracts department to ensure the project is completed on time and to budget.
This position requires an extremely strong technical background gained through working within a multi-disciplined consulting project management environment within the ride and attractions industry which should lead to the candidate possessing strong technical experience in the successful full life cycle delivery of mega theme park projects. A minimum of a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is required in order to apply for the position, along with at least five years of experience in the rides and attractions or theme park industry. Experience in design and build contracts in advantageous. • BSc in Engineering essential / non negotiable • Minimum 5 years’ ideally 10 years’ experience, in rides and attractions / theme park project management • Working knowledge of ride control systems – Allen Bradley control systems • Knowledge of US, ASTM F24, Europe EN 13814 • MSc or PHD is highly desired • Western Educated preferred • English speaking essential JOB BENEFITS Tax free lump sum monthly salary package.
