–> Basic Function and Scope: –> JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE: Train and develop Company UAE Nationals in Process/Operations and related disciplines, based on gap analysis findings so that they achieve required knowledge and skills to perform according to the company standards. Assess the competence of candidates against the established standards, and provide necessary co-ordination to ensure that the training activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. Principal Accountability: – Carry out gap analysis of the UAE national Developers (Operator, Supervisors and Engineers). Identify the knowledge & skills that remain to be acquired. – Prepare relevant Training schedules based on the actual needs of population concerned. – Develop program curriculum and teaching material related to discipline traineesâ€™ needs. – Identify and arrange the learning resources/documents (such as training materials, operating manuals, Maintenance manuals, Training manual, Technical Drawings viz. PFDâ€™s P & IDâ€™s, Critical Competency Checklists, Task Based instructions etc.) that are required by the trainees. – Write / update training modules and prepare other training materials required. – Liaise within MD and with various teams for preparation, review and implementation of the competency based development programs/personal development plans for UAE Nationals. – Co-ordinate with Site Management, with UAE National Trainees, within MD for an effective implementation of Training Plan. – Conduct classroom training using various audio-visual aids, e-Learning and Software simulator tools, to ensure that candidates acquire the required underpinning knowledge. – Use different techniques in classroom (like questioning ï¿½\\” written / oral, presentations, etc.) to ensure that candidates acquired the underpinning knowledge and take corrective action as required. Create and document knowledge evidence of the trainees. – Conduct on job training in the workshop and in the plant in coordination with the line Supervisors / Engineers to ensure that the candidates achieve the competency necessary to perform various tasks safely, efficiently and effectively as per the company standards. – Guide UAE Nationals in using the Computer Based Training (CBT) courses on Company networks as well as web based online courses, and track their performance. – Encourage independently learning skills among the UAE Nationals. – Seek periodic feedback from the trainees, line department, and Site Technical Training S-T/L to strengthen quality of training / instruction. – Assess competencies of the candidates against Company / VQ standards towards obtaining internationally recognize unit awards. Guide and help the candidates to collect knowledge and performance evidence required for achieving the VQ. – Provide input in preparing competency based personal development plans (PDPâ€™s) for UAE developees in his discipline. – Coordinate and arrange with HSE Department for Safety training of newly recruited UAE Nationals. – Monitor the progress of UAE Nationals at different stages of their development plans. – Participates in Panel Assessment exercise and follows up on recommended actions. – Assist in preparation of Training budget. – Demonstrate professional behavior and a caring attitude towards trainees. – Continuously develops himself to keep up to date with latest instructional methods and educational technologies as relevant for oil/gas industry. – Carry out other related duties assigned from time to time by Site Technical Training S T/L.
