Production Manager – Al Wazzan Foodstuffs Factory
To set up and manage the production plant in an efficient and planned way in accordance with set forecast. To ensure smooth production operation and availability of finished goods to the sales department, with maximum productivity and optimum operating costs. Contribute in setting production target for different lines, monitor improvements of performance/outputs and alerts for increase of such targets whenever applicable. Ensure the implementation of all process, policies, procedures and standards for one’s department, in relation to production plan, annual business plan and annual budgets. Initiate production plan according to the Demand Forecast highlighting capacity actions (any increase or decrease in manpower, overtime, and equipment necessary to fulfill such demand) Monitor daily production performance and ensure that all lines are operating to the standard productivity, efficiency, and utilization as planned with full compliance to the standard quality of the product. Monitor daily production yields and works on minimizing rejects and controlling waste within allowable tolerances. Ensure that all production workforces are adhering to standard operating procedures in order to meet product quality standards as well as machine operational instructions. Ensure appropriate scheduling of shifts, and oversee disciplinary matters for employees on the production floor. Contribute to new product developments and provide technical inputs for the purchase of production material of for upgrading of the production facility. Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimum costs Monitor the progress of personnel training, programs, established for Production line staff in conjunction with Quality Control and HR Department. Ensure succession planning and job rotation plan (in conjunction with HR Department) for production continuity purposes.
Should have Degree in Production Engineering 9 to 12 years in as Head of a Manufacturing Organization or food processing unit , of which 3-5 years should be in a similar position in at least a mid size organization – Source from NaurikiGulf UAEApply for this job.
