Project Interface Manager – Client of Five Continents in Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose: To support the major Project Group in the management of interface in order to ensure the projects timely completion in line with the safety, quality and budget objectives. Background: – The Projects Interface Manager (â€¦) reports to the Senior Project Manager, Interface. – COMPANY is one of the largest and most complex Gas Processing and Distribution Companies worldwide. COMPANY is a key element of UAEâ€™s hydrocarbons chain, and therefore plays a strategic role in the economy of Abu Dhabi and the country at large. The Company operates four onshore plants, product storage and marine export facilities, as well as an extended pipeline network. Products include Raw Ethane gas, LPG, Paraffin Naphtha, Condensate, NGL, Residue gas and Sulphur . After processing, Residue gas is either re-injected or transferred to consumers (mainly ADNOC, ADWEA and DUSUP) to be used either as feedstock or as fuel primarily for power and water production. – COMPANY is undergoing major expansions and capacity enhancement schemes to significantly increase its gas and liquid processing capacity and cope with increasingly sour feed gas. The projects increase the complexity of COMPANY operations through adding new facilities and plants and connecting the company to offshore gas providers. The project require close coordination with Operations, other OPCOs, COMPANY customers and Local/National Authorities. – Main challenge of the position is to ensure projects interface management tools used by the Major projects Teams and PMCâ€™s are properly designed and implemented to allow an effective management of the complex, multiple interface of major projects (e.g. COMPANY plants, local governmental bodies and municipalities, other international firms, and licensors) considering the limited size of the Major Projects Teams compared to the value of the projects managed, and the number of third parties involved. Main Accountabilities: – To provide effective and visible leadership to the Department in order to bring required contribution to the delivery of COMPANYâ€™s strategic objectives in the areas of HSE, Asset Integrity, Operations, People, Value, and Corporate Governance. – To explain and ensure understanding of COMPANYâ€™s strategic objectives for their effective achievements. – To participate and set clear and realistic performance objectives for the Division, and to constantly measure, monitor and review performance through existing mechanisms in order to ensure delivery of goals. – To ensure effective development and implementation of the appropriate and optimized business processes, procedures and standards in the execution of projects activities, in line with international and COMPANY best practices, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of implementation. – To participate in the key projects schedules and documents reviews in terms of interface and interdependencies in order to advise the Major Projects Team on key issues affecting interfaces, and on respective prioritization. – To participate in the identification of areas of concerns and respective remedial, actions to manage major projects interfaces causing delays versus schedules, HSE/safety risks, quality issues, equipment and materials deliveries, or costs increase. – To support the major projects execution team in coordination with Operations, other Divisions, ADNOC OPCOs,, COMPANY customers, Vendors, Contractors, and Local/National Authorities, for ensuring timely execution and commissioning of the major projects. – To support the major projects logistics team in the preparation and coordination of the major equipment delivery schedule. – To support the major projects team in the coordination with Vendors for timely mobilization of Service Engineers, and delivery of materials and spare parts. – To manage the implementation, standardization, and handover to COMPANY Integrated Database (GID) Computerized Management System in order to ensure that IT and business re
