Job Summary To assist the Hardware Supervisor in the overall performance of the scheduled preventative maintenance in Meeting rooms, and/or Public spaces, guest rooms, (CARE, RPM, GCPM), as required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs and assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking. Maintain, repair and clean all guest rooms in accordance with the property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines. Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces to include tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, Responsible to schedule, organize, and to carry out preventive maintenance program effectively as per Marriott SOP and manufacturer guidelines. ? Organize and supervise maintenance staff working under him. Making monthly duty roaster and adjust the shift duties as per business demand. ? Get physically involved in projects but at the same time ensure that routine work is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner. ? Carry out instructions, work orders or assignments given out by the DOE or designate. ? Supervise guest complaints as well as complaints from other departments regarding breakdown or malfunctioning of equipment associated with light, sound, telephones, television, plumbing or machinery. ? Keep a close track of the performance of the engineering associates and review with DOE or designate. ? Ensure that all the preventive maintenance, work orders and assignments are carried out in a timely and cost effective manner keeping high standard of safety for each equipment. ? Ensure that all logs are taken and a historical record is kept. Logs should be checked for necessary action. Keep all engineering log sheets in a proper file for record purpose. ? Assist engineering associates in ordering the correct materials prior to commencing the work. ? Ensure that all engineering spaces are safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner at all times. ? Assist engineering associates in ordering the correct materials prior to commencing the work. Document and keep history of all jobs completed within the engineering department. ? Prepare weekly/monthly work schedule to enable the engineering department to function effectively and cost effectively. (review and discuss with Building Maintenance Manager) ? Assist in energy conservative program, and to control utilities consumption. ? Comply with hotel and corporate SOP’s. ? Carry out instructions, work orders or assignments given out by the Building Maintenance Manager. ? To take active roll in the TQM process. ? Cross train engineering associates within the department. ? Be active member of hotel emergency rescue team. ? Prepare weekly walk through to check all engineering critical areas for necessary action. ? Be active member of hotel emergency response team. To ensure that each and every job is done to a high standard and that all your work is done with quality in mind. ? To ensure that you maintain a high level of hospitality and guest concern. Practice at all times \\”Empowerment\\” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest. ? Your uniform should be clean at all times if you have to go to guest areas.
