Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: UAE Company: Operator Status: Rotational – Contract We\\’re offering a fantastic opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer plan, direct, and coordinate the activities in the Mechanical discipline as the Technical Authority and have responsibility for the upkeep of the types of equipment, machinery and management systems found in Gas processing facilities. Key Responsibilities: b) Review of all related capital and revenue expenditure proposals, contributing to the development of the annual budget cycle and following through the planning and implementation phase. c)Develop, provide and review scopes of work and technical content for contracts and procurement. d)To act as discipline focal point for championing and promoting improvements in asset reliability and availability through improvements to management systems and processes, working practices and equipment studies including obsolescence reviews and incident investigations. e)To act as the discipline Technical Authority and focal point for engineering design and modification reviews, participating in Hazard and Hazop reviews as required. f)To provide leadership in the upkeep, development and improvement of the maintenance management system for the core discipline, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures and undertaking Departmental performance audits on a regular basis. g)To act as discipline mentor and champion for UAE and other staff, encouraging and providing stimulus to their ongoing development. h)Ensure that all company codes/regulations/engineering practices are adhered to by Department employees. i)Develop long term plans to maintain plant integrity, improve equipment availability and reliability and maintain cost effectiveness. j) Benchmark maintenance performance identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions. a)Keeps abreast of changes in relevant standards and improvements in associated technology and maintenance practices. b)Assures the safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. c)Provides opportunities for training and development of employees whilst in the Department (with emphasis on UAE Nationals) and assesses their progress and ensures proper work delegation to achieve the desired training benefit. d)Demonstrates appropriate levels of knowledge and responsibility regarding Technical and Operational Integrity processes of AIRMS. Performs other related or similar duties as assigned such as preparing special technical reports/studies, etc. Key Requirements a)Degree in engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering. b)Experience in maintenance and application of mechanical equipment associated with Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industry; with experience in a similar senior role h Applicant Requirements:
