SENIOR QA ENGINEER – Client of Five Continents in Abu Dhabi
Basic Function: • Ensures the development and implementation of Quality Management requirements on assigned projects. • Ensures that the Project Quality Systems meet the existing requirements of ISO 9000 series and Company Policies by assuring technical integrity and fitness-for- purpose In overall project engineering, \\’materials, equipment and, construction works. Total capital value of civil projects exceeds Dhs. 11 billion. • Annual expenditure on Such projects is approx. Dhs. 2 billion. Worked Performed: • Leads and co-ordinates Quality-related activities throughout the assigned Projects and phases, supported by QA/QC Engineer. • Develops and tailors to individual Project needs the Quality Management Requirements in line with International. Standards and COMPANY policies and procedures. • Performs Quality Management evaluations of Contractors Project Management • Consultants, Design Consultants\\’ and Vendors by assessment visit or bid review in order to provide selection advice. • Reviews the development of Contractors and .Consultants Project Quality Plan, ensuring that Project Quality Systems and related procedures preventively address the Assurance of Quality in the Design function, Procurement area and Construction activity. • Reviews, evaluates and approves the Contractors document control systems, designs the additional elements required for Company\\’s system to meet the Project quality requirements and ensures their implementation throughout the project with other discipline engineers. • Ensures that the approved Quality Systems and Plans are fully implemented and effective by regular surveillance, taking part in Contractor. audits and performing individual systems audit. • Leads Company Project Management Team Technical Compliance Audits by chairing PMT/Audit Team meetings, arranging interviews and Visits for physical verification. • Takes part in specification reviews, material reviews and execution procedure reviews to ensure all QA and QC requirements are addressed. • Attends critical pre-inspection meetings to ensure adequacy of vendor resources including manning, vendors equipment and materials, eta. • Recommends the selection of Third Party inspection Agencies. Co-ordinates with discipline engineers to review inspection and test plans and advises Project Manager on the extent of Contractor and Company involvement at the vendor locations for physical inspection. Provides feedback on areas of concern for appropriate action. • Initiates and supervises independent third party testing at Project sites to ensure compliance with Project specifications and integrity. • Supervises and participates in construction surveillance at site locations, assigning Third Party Inspection (TR\\’) Teams, controlling TPI expenditure against approved plan, advising management and recommending actions to resolve areas of concern. • Provides technical assistance and advice to Project Team on Inspection levels, materials testing Certification and Handover Documentation. • Carries out periodical visits to Construction sites to ensure that the Quality Assurance is implemented and followed in accordance with Agreement. • Coordinates with Project .Control Department on Quality, HSE and Planning and Cost Control related activities. • Provides full cooperation to Project Control Department in internal HSE/Quality auditing in all projects at all phases as Auditee. • Responsible to achieve the Key Performance indicators (in the respective role) established for projects.
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Engineering. • IRCA Registered Lead Auditor course or equivalent Quality Management course is preferable. • 8 years\\’ experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control engineering activities in major civil projects. • Good knowledge of English – Source from NaurikiGulf UAEApply for this job.
