Senior Retail Trade Marketing Manager *Only candidates who are currently working in a revenue targeted retail trade marketing management role in the FMCG or food & beverages industry in the UAE will be considered.* Our client is a rapidly expanding organisation that has gained tremendous momentum in the FMCG non-consumables and food & beverages distribution sector across the globe. Due to their fast growing success, we are now recruiting a Retail Trade Marketing Manager to support the business owners and senior management team in the development and implementation of sales and distribution strategies and go to market plans to increase market share, revenue and profits across the region through client and retention. Only candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered for the role: A minimum of 8 years’ experience of working in a retail trade marketing or channel sales or business development role within the non-consumables FMCG and food & beverages environment in the Gulf region, preferably in the UAE; Sales experience in FMCG distribution handing modern trade, traditional trade, pharmacies and retail outlets; Experience of building a brand through innovative marketing initiatives; Ability to negotiate commercial terms of business; Bachelor’s Degree; Fluency in English; UAE driving license; Experience of working in a target and results driven environment based on a basic salary + commission / incentives paid of performance. Responsibilities Development, implementation and execution of sales and marketing strategies to exceed sales targets by increasing market share and revenue and profit through client acquisition. Sourcing and developing sales and distribution opportunities of products to channel sales partners, food and beverages retail chains, HORECA industry and FMCG retailers across the globe and increase sales and profit and meeting volume and revenue targets by brand and products. Develop and execute the implementation of point of sale merchandise materials in line in company marketing and branding policies. Working closely with the logistics operations to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods to support supply chain KPIs. Recruitment and leadership of a sales team. Negotiation and presentation of sales proposals and presentations at “C” level and senior executive level. Developing sales plans and budgets. Identifying brands and products and negotiating and securing distribution rights for geographical territories Leading marketing initiatives at trade and networking events and conferences. Developing and implementing sales processes and systems. Conducting due diligence and appointing distributors for products in overseas countries. Essential Skills & Experience Required 8 – 15 years’ experience of working in a retail trade marketing or channel sales role within the FMCG and food & beverages distribution environment in the Gulf region, preferably in the UAE, dealing with decision makers at senior executive level. Proven experience in identifying brands and products and negotiating and securing distribution rights for geographical territories. Highly numerate and analytical. Ability to negotiate commercial terms of business. Proven experience of the development, implementation and execution of sales and marketing strategies. Strong financial acumen with effective financial planning and sales budgeting. Proven ability in sales team leadership. Ability to work in a rapidly growing organization.
