SENIOR SALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT HEAD Our client one of the leading Freight Forwarding companies which is into oil field requires a Sales / Business Development Head for their operations in GCC. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 – 10 years of experience working with any freight forwarding companies, experience working with oil field companies in the said profile would be an added advantage. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Plan and direct the organization’s activities to achieve stated/agreed targets and develop new customer profile. ? Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence throughout GCC ? Retains and profitably grows firm volume, sales, and profitability through proactive management of assigned large-customer relationships. ? Drive the agreed expansion plans for the company aggressively and create a sound customer base. ? Assist in the development of the annual sales plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts and territory realistic costs of operating the sales force and sales promotion programme plans. ? Responsible for all sales related activities, which include but not limited to prospecting leads, conducting sales meetings demoing company’s services, completing the contract process and closing deals. ? Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. ? Develops customer account plans for all assigned customers by leading a joint company/customer planning process that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear action plan for success. ? Proactively manages customers’ satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating problems, and monitoring satisfaction.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB ? Must have the ability to define business strategy and implement the same. ? A strong business and commercial acumen with a proven track record in profit centre management, managing operations and rollout of new projects. ? Must have the attributes and stature to interact with the Board, act as the spokesperson of the company and build external relationships at the appropriate levels. ? Should be a visionary with excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead the team to new forms of thinking in a fluid and fast evolving industry. ? The person should be fairly entrepreneurial in thinking and be aggressive in the market. REQUIREMENTS ? Experience working with freight forwarding companies is a must, experience working in oil field companies will be an added advantage ? Confident, driven, has an appetite for sales with a proven track record ? Excellent account management skills and hunger to chase new business ?
