Senior Specialist: Corporate Communications – Client of Duneden in Abu Dhabi
Summary Responsible for developing and executing the corporate communications strategy and media relations program with the goal of positioning the company as the real estate industry leader to the investors community, customers, government, general public and international, domestic trade and lifestyle media in conjunction with the department head.
Education Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or Business Management. \\’ Business Capabilities 5 years relevant experience in public relations and communications agency. Ideally in real estate, listed company. \\’ Interpersonal Skills – Strong copy writing and content generation capabilities. – Strong network of B2B, national business and trade media contacts. – Proven successes in both traditional and interactive PR channels – Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy – A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to both manage AND execute programs – Knowledge of international publications and opportunities is a plus – Excellent written and oral communication skills – Solid writing skills (writing samples required upon receipt of resume) \\’ Roles and Responsibilities – Provide strategic oversight and developing the annual PR plan with the PR agency. – Execute press outreach, media events, media calls, collateral, crisis communications support and press material development; – Creating PR programs that positively position the company and align closely with marketing campaigns, using communications tools and practices, to reinforce the corporate message; – Provide communications counsel to senior management, helping to enhance the company\\’s success by applying proactive and reactive communications strategy, including crisis communications. \\’ Major Activities: 55% – Fetch and develop weekly news by continuously meeting senior management to receive updates on company activities. Draft key messages and PR brief to share with relevant parties accordingly. Write clear and compelling pitch letters, press releases and by-lined articles. Proactively manage editorial calendars \\’ 15%- Develop compelling story angles to achieve significant increases in company awareness. Pitch stories to media to achieve highest visibility for in print, broadcast, TV and online. \\’ 15% – Work closely with the Marketing teams (development and retail) to strategically integrate Communications programs. Ensure all press releases are communicated internally and on our website. \\’ 10% – Identify media trends, news cycles and spin opportunities, assist with crisis communications and development of digital assets program. \\’ 5% – Analyze and measure results of PR programs.
