Required Skills –> Basic Function and Scope: –> Basic Function and Scope : Participates in the analysis of Fields/Terminal user requirements. Assist in defining systems specification including design, programming, test and implementation for in-house developed and other vendor applications. Troubleshoots various problems such as equipment malfunction, software bugs or user errors. Also gives adhoc support to users on PC and network operations and use of various standard software packages. Installs new softwares and new releases of software. Monitors systems utilization and provide simple technical support for non-complicated Company applications. Duties Performed: – Analyze and evaluate business area requirements for systems solution that will improve Field/Terminal business processes re-engineering and provide improved information. Includes obtaining details of input data, current process and out required. – Carries out investigation and analysis of existing manual or computerized systems and recommends improvement. – Maintains partnership with users. Includes developing full understanding of user and roles in the information life cycle, promoting fields user participation and assisting them to understand the technologies being employed to satisfy their information requirements. – Setup and maintain PCâ€™s, printers, scanners and associated hardware connected to all PCâ€™s in the company Tune-up client desk-tops for performance. – Provides technical support to the end-users for various acquired applications/utility packages and in-house developed systems, which includes various specialised hardware devices and their software. – Troubleshoot and resolve users computer related problems encountered while running their application systems or using specific hardware devices. Carries out maintenance and amendment work on systems as required. – Monitors the performance of the existing systems and recommends the necessary changes to increase operational efficiency. – Co-ordinates with corporate IT the implementation of the Divisional Planned requirements, Hardware & Software to meet business needs. – Install and configure client version of production applications. Acts as a front-line interface to users and provide day-today maintenance and support. – Co-ordinate the implementation of technical solutions, software enhancements and network expansion, to meet continued business needs. – Participates in the development of IT strategy and plans for assigned division to ensure continued business needs are met, including Technical solutions. – Load PCâ€™s with windows and windows NT workstation and update with latest standard service pack. – Capture end user information requirements and requests for additional application software to support end users practices and activities. – Conduct training to introduce users to Company IT environment, including Microsoft exchange and windows standard platform. – Understand Company IT system security standards and information security policy. Applies industry information classification, security procedures and standards. – Keep abreast of technological development in related field. – Participates in the training of users and computer operations personal on new systems. – Ensures that work under his/her control is conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Reports all accidents, near misses and hazardous conditions pertaining to his/her place of work. Familiarizes with the Companyâ€™s Health, Safety & Environmental policy and practices to promote safe working conditions.
